ShatterCube Last updated: August 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information ShatterCube (“the App”, “we”, “us”) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. ShatterCube is developed and published by Aydın Coşkunırmak, an individual developer (“the Developer”).
If you have any questions about this Policy, contact us at csknrmk.aydn@icloud.com.
When you first open the App, we automatically create an anonymous account for your device using Firebase Authentication (a service provided by Google). This creates a random identifier (“UID”) that is not linked to your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifying information. You are never asked to sign in, create a password, or provide an email address to play the App.
On first launch, the App automatically assigns you a random display name (for example, “User4821”) and a random avatar emoji from a fixed built-in set. You can change either one at any time from the Settings screen. You should not enter your real name or any other personal information as your display name.
If you complete at least one level, your anonymous UID, display name, avatar emoji, and cumulative total score are stored in our database (Google Cloud Firestore) and used to show the public global leaderboard inside the App.
This leaderboard data is public. Anyone who uses the App — and, because the underlying database allows public read access, technically anyone with the ability to query it directly — can see your display name, avatar, and score. Do not use your real name or any information you do not want to be publicly visible as your display name.
The following information is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to us or any third party: your gold currency balance, unlocked level progress, banked stones, sound and haptics preferences, and whether you have purchased “Remove Ads”. Uninstalling the App or using the “Reset Progress” option in Settings deletes this local data from your device.
We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, precise or approximate location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone data. We do not currently use any advertising or third-party analytics software development kit (SDK) within the App.
The App displays gold packs and a “Remove Ads” option. At this time, these are provided free of charge as part of ongoing development and no payment is processed. If and when real purchases are enabled in the future, all payment processing will be handled entirely by Apple’s App Store or Google Play’s billing system, in accordance with their own respective privacy policies and terms. We do not receive, process, or store your payment card details under any circumstances.
We use the information described above only to: operate and display the global leaderboard, remember your local game progress and settings on your own device, and to diagnose and fix technical problems. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or marketing purposes.
We use Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore, provided by Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited) to operate the anonymous sign-in and global leaderboard features described above. Google processes this data on our behalf as part of providing these services. You can read Google’s own privacy practices at: https://policies.google.com/privacy
We do not share your information with any other third party except as required by law.
ShatterCube is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App does not ask for a real name, email address, or any other directly identifying information, we do not believe the App collects personal information from anyone, including children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email address above so we can address it.
Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation, or the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because the information we hold is limited to an anonymous identifier, a self-chosen display name and avatar, and a score, you can exercise most of these rights directly within the App (Settings) or by contacting us as described in Section 4. This Policy does not limit any other statutory rights you may have under the mandatory law of the country in which you live.
Data described in this Policy is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure, which may process and store data in countries other than your own. Google maintains appropriate safeguards for international data transfers as described in its own privacy and data processing documentation.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features (such as real in-app purchases or advertising) or changes in applicable law. We will update the “Last updated” date above when we do. If changes are significant, we will make reasonable efforts to bring them to your attention within the App.
